If you're nearing the end of your homebuying journey, two big milestones are ahead: the final walkthrough and closing day. While they’re both essential, they serve very different purposes.
👣 Final Walkthrough: Your Last Look Before You Sign
This usually happens 24–48 hours before closing. It's your chance to ensure the property is in the agreed-upon condition — repairs have been made, no new damage has occurred, and nothing that should stay (like appliances) has been removed.
🖊️ Closing Day: Making It Official
This is when the real estate transaction becomes legally binding. You’ll sign the necessary documents, funds are transferred, and the title officially changes hands. Once complete, you get the keys!
🎯 Why the Distinction Matters
The walkthrough protects you from surprises. The closing secures your ownership. At MBS Title, we help coordinate both to ensure your closing is smooth, informed, and stress-free.
