Closing day is the finish line in your homebuying journey — and while most of the heavy lifting is done, being prepared for your appointment is key to avoiding delays. Here’s a quick checklist of what you’ll need to bring with you to ensure everything goes smoothly.
✅ A Valid Photo ID
Bring a government-issued photo ID (like a driver’s license or passport). All parties signing documents will need to verify their identity.
💰 Certified Funds
You’ll need to bring a cashier’s check or proof of a wire transfer for any remaining funds due at closing. Personal checks are not accepted, so double-check with your title company or lender beforehand.
📄 Final Closing Disclosure
While you’ll receive this in advance, bring a printed or digital copy for reference. It outlines your loan terms, closing costs, and what’s being paid to whom.
🖊 Any Outstanding Documents
Your lender or title company may have sent additional paperwork ahead of time — be sure to bring anything requested to finalize the process.
At MBS Title, we work hard to make closing day feel stress-free. Have a question before your appointment? Give us a call — we’re here to help you feel confident and prepared.
